Come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to him. For the Lord is a great God, a great King above all gods.
Psalm 95: 1- 3
It is easy to live everyday through the eyes of negativity; never seeing the good in anything, nor having the reason or need to be thankful. It is easy to look at certain milestones in life from the view point of it being “half empty” as opposed to being “half full”. However, the bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 to “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus”.
In this season of THANKSGIVING, I encourage us all to cast aside, burdens, cares, desires, hurts and all and embrace the spirit of Thanksgiving and praise to the one how has kept you well and safe.
In the spirit of thanksgiving, I remember the song I was taught as a child, it goes like this:
Count your blessings, name them one by one
Count your blessings and see what God has done
Count your blessings, name them one by one
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.
I’m sure some of you reading this will know that song.
To start the ball of thanksgiving and praise rolling, today, I count my blessings and I say to God my wonderful father, saviour, king, redeemer, best friend, and joy of salvation; THANK YOU. Thank you for keeping me safe from all harm, and giving me another opportunity to praise the beauty of your name.
I thank you for who you are, what you have done, doing and that which you desire and are willing to do for, in and through me for your glory. Forever be magnified, glorified and praised. Amen.
Dear Readers, over to you. In this season of THANKSGIVING, what are you truly and really grateful to God for?
Please leave a comment (use the comment box at the end of this post) to uplift and inspire each other, giving God glory and making Him famous along your way.
Much Love, Remi
One thing I thank God for is his patience with me!
Fellow believer's. I'm continually inspired and strengthened by the work and ministry of others. No matter how big or small!
I’m eternally grateful to God for Life; for my family; for the great people He has put around me.
Thank You Lord.
